Town of Bear Creek

Bear Creek is a Township in Sauk County, Wisconsin, United States. In September 1858, the Township of Bear Creek was created out of the Township of Franklin. Bear Creek consists of 50 sections and is bounded on the north by Washington Township, on the south by Spring Green Township, on the east by Franklin Township, and on the west by Richland County. The population was 497 at the 2000 census, with a current estimated population of 637. The Township took its name from Bear Creek. The unincorporated community of Loreta is located in the Township.
According to the United States Census Bureau, the Township has a total area of 49.7 square miles.
